PCC Library is honored to welcome guest speaker Brenda Brainard on May 5, 2026, in recognition of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Persons (MMIP) Awareness Day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brenda Brainard (Miluk Coos) is an attorney specializing in Indian Law, with a focus on constitutional law, enrollment, jurisdiction, education, and elections. Early in her career, she played a key role in the restoration of federal recognition for her Tribe. She also served for 30 years as Director of the Indian Education Program Consortium, supporting nine school districts in Lane County.<\/p>\n

In addition to her legal work, Brenda is a traditional weaver, storyteller, and dancer, and a dedicated advocate for MMIP awareness and legal change.<\/p>\n

Join us on May 5 from 12\u20131 PM in the Cascade Library.
